Dance Kerr & Dancers is a seven member New York City based contemporary company founded, directed, and composed of dance educators and dancers working to bridge the gap between dancers and non-dancers to make dance accessible and enjoyed by all populations. The movement vocabulary is rooted in non-traditional modern dance technique that plays with the contrast of stillness and great physicality. Director Michael Kerr’s creations are a by-product of lived experiences translated into physical movements emulating internal struggles and successes; as well as other unexpected sources of inspiration. DanceKerr & Dancers is looking forward to a very exciting 2018 season performing at 92Y, WAXworks, DanceNJ Show Up and Dance and TaDa.
