Shannon Chapman grew up dancing in Westchester County. She then went on to study dance and economics at SUNY Binghamton University. She continued her training at Broadway Dance Center. In 2012 Shannon helped open Connecticut Dance Center in Stamford as Assistant Director. Shannon has recently completed her MA in Dance Education at NYU Steinhardt. She has performed with Aries in Flight, Roza Dance Company, Alternative Arts Association, Rebecca Moore Dance, and Parparium Dancers. Shannon continues to teach creative movement, tap, and ballet in the Tri-State area.
Abby Dias is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy here in New York City. She has worked with choreographers such as Mimi Quillin, Nuo An, and Mary Seidman. Abby is currently dancing with Beth Soll and Company, Gwen Rakotovao Company, and Salvatore LaRussa Dance Theater. She has performed on stages such as Radio City Music Hall, the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre at Symphony Space, Jazz at Lincoln Center, BAM Fisher, University Settlement, and multiple performances at the Ailey Citigroup Theater.
Adele Fisk began dancing at age five in her home state of Maine. She later trained with Rose and Charles Flachs at the Massachusetts Academy of Ballet before moving to New York City to attend the Fordham Ailey BFA program. During her time at the Ailey School she has had the great opportunity to work with choreographers including Gregory Dolbashian, Adam Barruch, Chuck Wilt, and Kate Wallich. She was lucky enough to augment her year round training by attending the Alonzo King Lines Ballet summer program where she performed work by Arturo Fernandez and David Harvey and was honored to receive the Homer Avila award in 2017.
Samantha Giordano has been dancing with DanceKerr & Dancers since the beginning of 2017. Prior to this experience, she was a member of the Staten Island Yankees Pinstripe Patrol. Other dance credentials include Newark Beers Honey Beers dance team, being VIP dancer with Dance Olympus dance competition and performing in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Samnatha is a graduate of the class of 2015 from Hofstra University cum laude with a degree in dance education. With her major, she has performed in various faculty shows in pieces choreographed by artists such as Robin Becker, Anita Feldmen and Amy Marshall. While at college she helped organized a program called Dancers in the Schools which brought Hofstra dancers to schools across NYC and Long Island to provide students with dance workshops. Samantha is so excited to be dancing with this company and looking forward to what the future will bring.
Ashley Hacker is so excited to join DanceKerr & Dancers! Born and raised in upstate New York, Ashley began her endeavor as a life-long dancer at the age of 2 ½. She continued her dance studies as an undergraduate at The College at Brockport, SUNY where she earned a BFA in Dance, a BS in Psychology and a minor in Music. After graduation she made the move to the Big Apple to pursue her MA in Dance Education with a PreK-12 Dance Certification from New York University. Ashley continues to perform in NYC, most recently with the company Aries in Flight. Additionally, she keeps up to date on dance research and education by attending and presenting at national conferences and participating in arts outreach and in-reach programs. Currently she is in her seventh year at Poly Prep Country Day School teaching Dance to Middle School students in grades 5 through 8.
Lindsey Jones received her early dance training at O'Connell Dance Studio in Toledo, Ohio and later trained as an apprentice at the Performing Arts Center in Los Angles. Lindsey received her BA in Dance and Performance Studies from UC Berkeley and her MA in Dance Education with a concentration in Teaching in the Professions from NYU Steinhardt. She has performed with Aries in Flight in NYC and was previously involved with the Mandalone Project, Berkeley Dance Project and MixMatch Dance Festival in California. Lindsey was also the recipient of the Mask and Dagger Ward for extraordinary student contribution in Dance and Performance Studies.
Lauren Pagano grew up in Lake Worth, Florida where she trained at Florida School for Dance Education and graduated from A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts in May of 2015. While attending Dreyfoos, Lauren had the opportunity to work with artists such as Stefanie Batten Bland, Ryan Redmond, and Margo Sappington. Lauren attended the Ailey/Fordham BFA Dance Program where she worked with choreographers such as Adam Barruch, Chuck Wilt, Early Mosley, and Virgine Mecene. This past spring Lauren graduated magna cum laude from Fordham University with a double major in Dance and History. This is her first season with DanceKerr and Dancers.
Olivia grew up in Stamford Connecticut where she has been studying dance since a young age. Olivia is a Hofstra University graduate where she received a B.S. in Dance Education K-12. She is a dance educator in the NYCDOE and also teaches ballet, tap, hip-hop, and jazz in a variety of studios in New York and Connecticut. Olivia also works with different studios to create outreach programs to bring movement classes into public schools. Olivia joined DanceKerr & Dancers in 2015 and is excited to continue to grow within the company.
